Written by professional psychic/medium, Astrid Brown, ‘A Psychic Affair’ shares the intense, emotive romance between two people. It’s as intimate and uplifting as any other relationship, except for one thing – it’s conducted psychically. It’s a romance novel unlike anything else on the market!Which means that I was absolutely intrigued, therefore I've felt the need to ask Astrid a few questions about the book, challenges of being a psychic/medium & love in general. Enjoy!
It was a truly magical night to roam the streets of New York City and beyond transcendental to meet The New Tarot's Monika & Karen Walker. Our destination - Yorkafe Deux, a lovely tiny nook of a café on the East 59th Street. I first notice Karen (vocals/keyboard), comfortably seated in the corner and surrounded by kids. She greeted me with the biggest smile. There's something very darling and comforting about her aura. A very sensitive soul who finds a creative outlet everywhere - whether it be through the music that she makes with her sister, by writing in her journal or even drawing with the kids at the local coffee shop. While Monika was busy with tarot readings, I've asked Karen if it would be alright to ask her a bunch of questions.
Need a Clubbing Outfit Idea? This 80s-Inspired Black and Gold Cocktail Dress is Exactly What You Need!
Need a clubbing outfit idea? You're in the right place! If you've been following the latest 80s fashion trend craze you'll love this black and gold cocktail dress. It's actually funny, while we were taking these photos, I told my sister, who's also my photographer, that there's really no other combination that would sum up my personality better than black and gold. Black as all-encompassing, subdued and mysterious and a touch of gold for a little bit of spunk. She giggled. She probably thought it's all nonsense, but I love her honesty.
Let's ditch all of our unrealistic New Year’s resolutions and once for all end the myth of perfection! Kelly McNelis, the founder of Women For One and author of Your Messy Brilliance, is asking you to do just that! New Year’s resolutions tend to wreak havoc on self-esteem, therefore your only resolution this year should be self-acceptance. In the following interview, McNelis explains what inspired her to write Your Messy Brilliance and what resolutions you SHOULD make in 2018!
It would definitely be an understatement to say that I'm obsessed with this particular pair of high-waisted flared jeans from Free People. You might've noticed that I tend to oscillate between different styles and fashion decades with the '70s being a fashion era I regularly keep coming back to. You can always count on me to create a look that could easily be worn by the cast members of That '70s Show. (No lie, I have honestly always low-key wanted to be a part of it. While I was a music DJ at my radio station in college, my friend and I would always joke that my DJ name should be "Hot Donna," as an homage to the show. I so wish I did it, but hey, censorship, lol. She resorted to just giving me that nickname, which became an inside joke for the duration of our careless, glorious, radio days.)
Looking for some winter styling tips? Look no further! Although, not my favorite season fashion-wise, there is still a way to make winter dressing seem less boring. Yes, it is possible to be warm and look cute in cold weather. All you really need is a few key pieces that are versatile and you're good to go. At first, my intention was to pair this Mystique Boutique sweater with a pair of houndstooth pants, but then I've decided that I might want to break up the monotony a little with this patent leather skirt from Zara. If you're opting for a head-to-toe black look, it is always fun to play with different textures.
Here's an easy holiday outfit idea - a gold metallic oversized turtleneck to solve all your holiday outfit problems. Super easy to dress down for a perfect daytime holiday look and dress up for an evening holiday party. A festive daytime look is easily achieved by throwing on a pair of jeans and a cute pair of black booties. In case you're invited to an evening holiday party, you're covered too! All you need to do is wear the turtleneck as an oversized dress and swap out the booties for some over-the-knee boots or a pair of stilettos. Et voilà! You're all set. You just walk into the party looking like a giant ornament and trust me, you'll set the right mood. You don't go to a holiday party, you are the holiday party baby! (And an added bonus, stemming from my own observation - how can you even be in a bad mood while wearing this outfit? It's an instant pick-me-up. Gloom lifter.) For an occasion that simply requires you to be extra, this oversized turtleneck guarantees that you won't go unnoticed wherever you show up.
Hello there! It has certainly been a while but I'm back baby! This time I'm showing you my way of styling the faux leather mini skirt. But before we go any further - let me tell you that this return is accompanied by a minor serendipitous life plot twist. Nina 2.0 comes back at ya with a whole new attitude and whole new stylistic direction in tow. (The transformative Scorpio water runs deep, you know what I mean? Scorpio season, who's with me? It has been tough...) As we're all going through a transformation of consciousness, there is no way that something about us won't change outwards as well. And you know what? Change is definitely a good thing. You might say I'm addicted to it. If I'm not changing consciously or in some other shape or form, I feel like I'm pretty much stuck in life. And that doesn't vibe well with me. Of course, naturally, I only hope to change for the better. Hmm...I don't really know where all of this is coming from, but I just feel the need to put it out there. Well...if you're bored with my intro you're in luck! I'm finally moving on to the outfit.
