Sassy September

Hello my fellow Stylegazers! So September is here and honestly – I’ve been ready for it for a while now. Pumpkin Spice Latte is back, not that I particularly care. I’m more of an apple cider and black coffee kind of gal anyways. So… that’s that. I do however, very much care about Bath & Body Works – maybe too much even. (My bank account knows.) Listen – there’s nothing that excites me more than fall scents. If anything, they excite me so much more than the fall “tastes.” There are just so many kinds of pumpkin candles to choose from this fall. Judge me all you want, but I can’t end my day without lighting one up. I’m pretty sure I’ve been classically conditioned to like the candles and have a daily ritual with them (nothing creepy, I promise) at some point in my life or my behavior is just a reaction to very good marketing. Still, take my money. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sell me dreams, whatever. Lord knows I need them.

Although we have to wait for a while for that equinox and the fall to get into the full swing, I’ll be definitely stocking up on anything fall-related (as of RIGHT NOW) – like a true fall-enthusiast that I am. So, you could say that today’s outfit is a nod to September. And when I think of September; burgundy, mustard yellow and forest green pop in my mind. I also can’t wait to incorporate blues this season, as Pantone claims that different shades of blue are going to be all the rage this season, next to “Sharkskin,” “Aurora Red,” “Warm Taupe,” “Dusty Cedar,” “Lush Meadow,” “Spicy Mustard,” “Potter’s Clay” and “Bodacious.” You learn something new every day.
